You have to look hard in the world today to find people still practicing the harvesting techniques that were used by their ancestors for centuries. Here a man threshes barley using his yaks.

I’ll probably be finding old photographs of Ladakh for years to come, photos buried on hard drives, photos that missed the first edit. This morning I found a couple from the barley harvest in the village of Lamayuru in September of 2009.
