iPhoneography, using Snapseed

I’ve been playing with the iPhone again and this time I’ve been using a new app that I bought, Snapseed. It’s from Nik Software and it comes at a price, $4.99. I often overlook applications that cost over a $1 or $2, but this one seemed to be worth it. It certainly has been. Snapseed allows for spot-specific adjustments on photos and it’s fairly intrinsic to use. It has some unique special effects too, such as “Vintage,” “Drama,” and “Grunge.” If you’re looking for an app to play with, I’d recommend it. Here’s a few of my recent images.

    • i know, sometimes you make an image when the light is not quite what you’d want it to be and you think, “perhaps i can still get something artistic out of this one.” but i don’t want it to make me careless. i always want to strive for that best shot.

  1. Ok, you’ve sold me! I’ve started to really use my iPhone for close up shots of flowers. It has been working a lot better than my digital camera (I am not a professional but am trying to learn how to take better pictures for my blog). I just purchased this app yet must admit embarrassingly enough that I can’t find the options for the special effects. Where do you find these options? Can you tell I’m a beginner! (This is how I learn though…by following people like you!). Thanks! nicole
