We’ve been through
Some things together
With trunks of memories
Still to come
We found things to do
In stormy weather
Long may you run.
Long may you run.
Long may you run.
Although these changes
Have come
With your chrome heart shining
In the sun
Long may you run.
-Neil Young, Long May You Run
The first photograph was made in Yulee, Florida sometime around 1995 when the truck had approximately 36,000 miles on it. The second photograph was made on Monte Sano Mountain in Huntsville, Alabama when the truck had around 360,000 miles, just last week. The truck and me have indeed been on many journeys. We’ve traveled from Florida to California and back around 8 times, been to British Columbia in Canada, the Baja Peninsula in Mexico and up to Maine. There’s many memories contained therein, and hopefully many more to come. I’ve had the truck now for 21 years and we’re currently on a new journey, on the way to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area to serve as a Park Ranger. Indeed, long may she run.
Great advertising for Nissan, haha. Also, love the transition from leather sandals to Chacos. Oh, how times have changed!

They have changed indeed! There was a time in between when it was all about the Tevas.
Well, you and your truck are an inspiration. Good to know vehicles can take that many miles.
Here’s hoping for 400,000+
You have both aged very well 🙂
Why thank you!
I agree. 🙂
Thanks Olivia!
That’s amazing! All those miles on one engine?? Have a great time Rangering.
Original engine, lots of highway miles!
Cool. Very cool.
Hey, thanks Al!
I love it!!
Thanks!
Really great post, Russ! Good luck on the new adventure!
It’s been 13 years since I’ve been to Glen Canyon. It’s a fascinating place.
I also that it’s surrounded by 5 other nat’l parks!
That’s a lot of mileage and this post was from a couple of years ago so I know you’ve gone many more since then. Curious…do you still have the Nissan? 😀
It just rolled past 400,000 miles Mrs P!
WOW!!!
