Those of you who have seen my work for a while know that the photographs I make with my DSLR are edited using photojournalistic standards. I do that intentionally so that people can trust that my photographs are not manipulated in any way. I shoot in RAW so I adjust only exposure, contrast, highlights and the minor changes allowed in photojournalism. With the iPhone I not only make photographs, but also art. You can read my previous article on Art vs. Journalism here. These two images were made using the iPhone and were highly manipulated. I took two doors that I found in Santa Fe, a red and a blue one, and during the editing process attempted to make the overall tenor of the photo to be of the same color as the door. I’ll leave it to you to decide if I succeeded and whether or not you like them.

Stunning.

Cheers!
I really like the red toned doors. The blue one is kinda freaky. 🙂
What camera do you usually use?
I use a Nikon D700 and the iPhone 4S.
