The Festival of Knights was an autumn festival held just inside the Jaffa Gate on the streets of Jerusalem. It was a look back into an ancient world, surely blended with much imagination. I asked the guy who was dressed as a spider-like creature what he was supposed to be. He replied, “It’s abstract.” Agreed. There were pretty young ladies performing dances that have been passed through the generations, musicians and jesters, fire twirlers, and lots of innocent revelry in general. Here’s a look at a few images from one fine festival in Jerusalem.

The modern world against those ancient walls is striking. Looks like a fascinating experience!

Super cool! Were there many people there? It doesn’t look like it – or you’ve cleverly composed your pics 🙂
It’s clever composition. : ) I had to work hard to get the Spider-Man by himself!
