I’m on the road this month and have been out enjoying national parks in the American West. I pen this from a little cafe in the Eastern Sierra. This image was made near the beginning of the trip, just outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico as a summer storm rolled across the mountains. I look forward to sharing more from the journey. Thanks for your continued interest in the blog, there’s plenty more to come. Russ

Great capture of the light.
Excellent timing on this one.
Thanks Vicki!
Look forward to more postcards and stunning photography.
Thanks Lynne!
Lovely sky, and light
Thanks!
Gorgeous
Thanks!
When you come to Alaska, be sure and stop in Homer, and give us a visit. We’re right on Bishop’s Beach. (Ahh, but, after almost two weeks of straight gray days, I’m missing that lovely southwest)
If I’m ever up near Homer, that’d be great! Hope the skies clear for you up that way!
The colors are gorgeous.
Thanks, it was a beautiful evening…
Gorgeous clouds! I love a beautiful cloud shot…took some this week as well, except mine were dark and stormy…not radiating like yours.
I’ll give credit to the Maker for that!
BEAUTIFUL! I saw the image and knew immediate that it was home! We’ve had some fantastic storms recently (the drought is finally officially “over,” but I’m skeptical….), glad you were here to catch a little.
I was thankful to get to spend a little time out there!
We call that a “miracle” when the sun shines through the clouds like that. At the bottom of those rays, a miracle is happening. Great shot and enjoy your trip.
Thanks Jeff, that’s a wonderful thought!
