Pavilion Key is the outermost key in Everglades National Park, and one of the most beautiful. Because it extends into the Gulf of Mexico, it tends to catch more of the extreme weather. I’ve had some memorable paddles out there, in the stinging rain blown by 15 knot winds, which lets you know you’re alive. This week I’m sharing a few photos from different expeditions out to Pavilion Key.

Near the spit looking towards the northeast and the four islands which I sometimes refer to as John, Paul, George, and Ringo
Remote and beautiful. Great aerial shot.
