Puerto Rico – Surfing Competition on Jobos Beach

On one of the days in Puerto Rico we decided to make our way to the town of Isabela, where the Rip Curl Pro Surfing competition was to take place, and to take to the water ourselves. The waves were fairly small that day and there were plenty of surf photographers out and about, so I turned my attention towards the crowds that had come to watch. It was a great way to experience authentic Puerto Rican culture and the growing surf tourism. The local surfers were most friendly and as far as surfing destinations go, I give it a thumbs up. While the waves are reputedly quite large out on Jobos, on that day they were perfect for me.
