Being a photographer while hanging out with a group of people who are on vacation can be a tenuous mix. On our second day in Puerto Rico we were to visit the Yunque Rain Forest. As the eight of us piled into two rental cars and headed off towards the mountains one person said, “Not bad, we’re on our way just before 10am.”
Images floated through my mind of numerous previous trips where I’d awakened while it was still dark and made my way to locations in order to catch first light. By 10am I’d have made 300 images and be on my way to a late brunch. But alas, I told myself to just relax and enjoy being there and make whatever images I could along the way.
So these are the images from Day 2 in Puerto Rico, the Yunque Rain Forest, and stops for some dinner along the coast on that evening, and the evening before.
And that will wrap it up for day 2.
excellect pics ….well shot
appreciate that!
Love the snails!
thanks, they were huge for snails!
I loved that rain forest! Sadly I didn’t have as nice as photographs as you when I visited it. Only a camera phone.
there’s quite a lot that you can do with a camera phone these days, so don’t rule that out!
Very interesting to see the snails. I was surprised by the variety of them found in my own garden and have a small collection of shells. None are the same as these.
i’ve been impressed by the variety of snails found in the everglades too…
La Mina Falls are priceless. More than once I’ve sat underneath those falls.
the falls in that country are truly beautiful….

Great photos indeed! Puerto Rico captured my heart on a visit two years ago. Can’t wait to go back!
Puerto Rico is indeed a place that can capture ones heart. Hope you make it back soon!
Heya! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing a few months of hard work due to no data backup. Do you have any methods to protect against hackers?|
I’ve signed up for dual log-in. It adds a serious level of protection.
