Monument Valley is one of those special places. When you drive down into the valley and become engulfed by the enormity of it all, you wonder why it had taken you so long to arrive here. Run by the Navajo’s, the valley is closed at 8pm and doesn’t open to car travel until 6am. Wanting to see the place in the early morning hours I decided to just walk in so that I could stand in the quietness and watch the morning come. Later in the morning I took the old truck through the entirety of the valley to see all that I could. What follows are the images I made one evening and morning.

That sunrise shot is absolutely incredible, amazing work! Monument Valley is definitely going to have to be on my itinerary next time I visit the US.
Yeah, when I actually went down into the valley and felt the scale of things, I was in awe…
love the series, but my personal favorites is the night time stars shot. pure beauty
Thanks Cyndi, I like that one because it’s one you rarely see from Monument Valley…
Stunning work and I agree with the previous comment. The sunrise shot is spectacular.
Thanks Edith!
