I’m finally getting out to explore a little farther into Yellowstone. This week I’m sharing images made in the Hayden Valley. I was delighted to come upon a red fox hunting the other evening, and to be met with a passing storm at sunset, giving some extra accent to the valley and sky. I hope you enjoy the photos!
I appreciate all the recent followers of the blog, welcome, and I hope you enjoy the work. For those that have been here awhile, thanks for continuing on the journey with me!
Red Fox captures are a real treasure. Great job as usual.
Thanks y’all!
There is something magical about Hayden Valley. If you’re lucky one evening, maybe you’ll see the bison ford the river with their calves. It’s an amazing sight!
I did get to watch one young bison ford the river, and leap and play when it emerged. The quality of light wasn’t what I wanted, but it’s one of those sites I’ll personally get to treasure. And you’re right, the Hayden Valley does have its magic…
I have so many great memories of Yellowstone! Really enjoying you pictures 🙂
Thanks, glad you’re enjoying them!
Amazing place and photos!
Thanks sis!
Nice… Foxes are beautiful creatures
They sure are!
The red fox series is terrific, Russ. I also love the Yellowstone River shot– the quietness and reflections.
Thanks Jane, appreciate the comments. I’ll be revisiting that river from time to time I’m certain, it’s truly beautiful…
For someone, like me, who has never been there, you have captured the majesty of His creation beautifully, Russ.
Thanks Lynne, appreciate that!
I so appreciate your pix. we went thru YNP back in 1977 but hurrying to Seattle for a seminar so missed alot of detail. We saw Pike’s Peak, Tetons, much of Wyoming and Montana and Idaho and eastern Washington, but only a survey. Oh, it was a missions seminar. Thanks again.
Well, sounds like you need to come back and spend a little more time then…
Beautiful! We are now starting a tour of th Badlands and Black Hills of South Dakota. I have been to Yellowstone but not here so in curious to see what it is like.
It’s great to explore the lesser known places, hope you’re having a great time!
Thanks! Yes it is interesting country out here. I’m looking forward to doing some hikes. I’m heading to Tanzania in two weeks to do Kilimanjaro so this will be quite a contrast! 🙂
Sounds great, hope you have a wonderful journey!
Would love to visit Yellowstone it’s been on my list for years but the closest I got was my Washington national park and Yosemite. Love the red Fox images. You may be interested in a few of my images and stories too from a like minded traveller
