As I pen this, the first snows of the winter season are lightly falling on Yellowstone. A couple of weeks ago I made one last fall foray, albeit not a violent one, to the Tetons in order to catch the last of the fall season. I’ve always enjoyed the final days of autumn, when the leaves of color are interlaced with barren branches.

My favorite of this lovely series is the one with the rays of light coming down. I like yellow leaves against blues and grays.
Thanks Sherry Lynn, I enjoyed watching the sky change so rapidly. I didn’t quite catch the yellows as brightly as I’d have liked, but in the end this one was mostly about those rays.

Love the church!
Thanks Mrs P, it’s in such a great location, and apparently they still hold services there.
Even cooler!
Wow, the world most hold still for you to perfectly capture it’s beauty.
Thanks Melinda, I certainly have learned to hold still long enough to watch it all unfold. Appreciate the kind words….
You’re welcome 🙂 I love your photography

Thanks Priscilla!
Beautiful! I can’t wait to see your first photos of the snow there.
Snow is challenging this early in the season, it’s not cold enough to get the blue sky, snow on the ground kind of day, yet. Here’s hoping I can get a few shots before heading to the Glades for the winter.
Let’s hope as I would love to see your shots!
Wonderful… I love photographing at this time of year especially with stormy skies rolling in!
Thanks Joseph, it’s true, the stormy skies are great to be out photographing in…
Beautiful!
Thanks!
Nice work Russ! I finally got your print form Camp Lulu framed and up. Looks great! But of course!
Glad you got that framed Bart, I look forward to seeing it on the wall sometime…
