I’ve had some time back in sweet home Alabama and the north Georgia mountains in the past week, and I’ll be posting plenty in the next several days. This first post is from Alabama and shows some sarvis blooms as spring comes to Mentone, Alabama.
Such a beautiful picture! What type of lens did you use to capture the sun ray effect?
I made this photo with an iPhone 4S. To get the sun rays I simply tilted the phone just enough to get the sun out of the frame, but allowing the sun flair to show through. I edited it using Snapseed, where I added about +30 in contrast and then added “Drama” of about +35. That move is what really pulled out the sun rays. I was happy with how it turned out.
Hey there! I nominated you for the Inspiring Blogger Award and, if you’d like to accept, you can click here: http://thereandbackagainawhittietale.wordpress.com/2013/04/16/blogger-award/
Thanks for posting such beautiful photos! (side note: I just read your previous reply and was just a little excited to hear about another photographer using Snapseed) 🙂
