Old Faithful through the season

Working as a park ranger at Old Faithful for the season, I was mindful of making the occasional photograph of the eruption and compiled these images of Old Faithful erupting during the summer of 2016. They were made while out on rove, or behind the visitor center desk, whether the light was good or bad. Most were made on the iPhone, while a few were made with my Nikon. It’s simply a season long documentation.

  1. Those are some interesting perspectives. My friend who used to work in the bar there talked about how it would empty out and then fill up again, ebbing and flowing to the timing of the geyser, which is something you don’t think about. I really love the photo at night/sunset in the middle.
